Description
Stonehenge, Salisbury Plain, England July 2018. Researchers believe there are two Stonehenge circles near each other. The one here made of stones. The other recently found within 2 miles of this. The one recently discovered only has the remains of holes in the ground mapped out and with the exact same layout that the stone one has. It was made out of wood, of which is now long gone, since it was made of a living material. The one of stone was believed to be a place where death was acknowledged and the other (wood) was where they celebrated life.

I would love to visit and just feel this place. When I stayed on the Isle of Skye, my daughter and I found an ancient pict stone. It was round and about three feet tall, with engraved symbols. We couldn't photograph it because a crude wooden fence surrounded it to protect it.

Yeah, it was a very unique place. A lot of traffic to get there. Once there it was sort of weird. No trees around. Beautiful though. I've heard there are alot of Pictish stone sites in Scotland. I missed seeing one in Balquhidder in the Highlands when I visited there in 2018. Wish I had known it was nearby. I would have liked to see it.
